Is it just me or does the cool smiley give off a sarcasm/whatever reaction? I always think that's what it is until I remember it means cool.

Agreed; the cool smilie'd look more cool if his mouth was centered, rather than on the side of his face which can be perceived as a sorta smirk.

I think this one http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82/super20player/Smilies/cool.gif looks too much like John Lennon ....or he also looks like he's going to get a tan in a salon and that's not cool. There used to be another "cool" emoticon that was much cooler than the one we currently have the John Lennon/fake tan one.
