I´m thinking of replacing my Yamaha Custom with a new soprano.Keilwerth is my first choice (I play JK tenors and bari).I´ve heard good things about Cannonball "Arc" sopranos, the SA1 model.Mine would probably be black-nickel with silverplated keys.I´m really looking for a pro-level soprano and I´m not sure if Cannoball is quite there yet  :?: .I have no possibity to try them out (big minus) since I have to order abroads but I might get a nice deal.
So,all comments/opinions are certainly more than welcome!
Thanks!

I play my cball soprano quite a bit. I sold my yss62 ater aquiring it...
As for them being on a professional level-
well, I've played (toured) with James Brown, Chris Potter, Randy Brecker, Bill Watrous, John Fedchock and many many others, and they work well for me. I prefer the curved over the arc, but that's just my preference.
As always, see if you can get your hands on the horn before buying (same as any brand...)

I don't know where you are located but jscimonetti@yahoo.com was willing to ship a tenor to me (After paying for it) to try, If I didn't like it I could ship it back no questions asked for a full refund. Great service..

I prefer the Ard model and Ihave never been able to play the CB Branded straight and Curved models although I have played the similar models from the same factory. The Arc looks cool, has great projection and a beautiful clear tone. It is a very robust and strongly built little horn although I would prefer to see better quality springs and more G# key travel. Overall the horn is very, very playable and I would happily take it anywhere.
I'm still waiting on a gold plate model, no high F# key here. I have played the F# model and it has a bigger bore than the CB, and richer vintage quality to the sound.

Thanks for your comments!
Can anyone give me the price of Cannonball Arc soprano in the USA or elsewhere outside Europe?
I´m in Europe and I´d like to compare the prices (in EU the price is 2500-2600 Euros).I can´t find any pricing info on the net. Thanks!
How 'bout a fine European horn? The Borgani Jubilee series may compete favorably with a U.S.-distributed marque. There's a web dealer in Austria that carries them - http://www.schagerl.at/ - or check in on the "Modern Horns" forum to see who's visiting the factory.
In contrast to the older Borgani horns, these new Jubilee models are quite fine. I've been playing their tenor for a while now and love it.

Hey man, I have a curved sop (Black Nickle finish) I got pretty much straight from Cannonball last year. (I live in Canada, only 1 dealer here.)
It is absolutely wonderful, especially at the price. I compared it to a Yani at Namm last year, as well as the striaght Selmer Serie III and, while the Yani seemed a bit more.....well, real, I guess, the Cannonball really works well didn't like the striaght Selmer at Namm. I was playing a Selmer Serie II at the time, and absolutely hated it, but I love my old BA Alto, no Selmer bashing here. Just don't like the Sops I have tried. Go fig:)

Got a chance to try several cannonballs (Altos & Sop) of the sop the Arc to me sounded the best although the two curved ones I tried could need setting up, My friend whose a pro bought the Black Nickle Alto which sounds big, one thing though when we got back to where we were staying a pearl key fell off ( I know it's not pearl) and low and behold it was a paper backed stick on
I would like to buy one, however I would not pay what a new selmer would cost, people seem to be talking between $1000 $1500 US............maybe cheaper to fly to US and buy, Subtone Sam $2600 Euros is simply too expensive for a Taiwanese horn Imho

However if it's the horn you love the sound of then $s is relative!!!

Well here's my 2centsI.. have a silver straight CB "Royal Crown" I got for a helluva cheapo Ebay $$$..and folks I gotta say it ain't a Selmer..I have a Series III in silver that is like glass-smooth and after 3yrs the III is becoming like a second skin, the horn responds to the slightest breath and will scream the paint off the walls..Yeah the little RC is OK too, decent tone, even scale, ain't fell apart, etc..but those 3 bottom aug scale notes from Bnat up&down..you'll cut yerself..
