Ok, I just got my new woodwind edition of the Woodwind and Brasswind catalog and when i was looking at the saxes I came across this new brand called the Chicago Jazz Series but what got my attention is the fact they had the same sepcifications of the old Guardalas. They have more of a combination of the Artist series ( the 72% copper ) with the New york style ( with the landmarks ) but the new saxes now have chicago landmarks on all thier styles. With thier Laquer, Black ( still with the tripple silver plate trim), and the Earthtone, and the chanu pads don't these seem like the reincarnation of the older Guardala saxes or am i just doing too many connections. But just for reference I still love my Guardala Alto after its first working year and I feel if these new Chicago jazz are anything like thier Guardala fathers then pick them up and you will not be disapointed.

It does seem to be too much of a coincidence, although I haven't heard of any other deals that VMI in Germany has to produce a similar stencil as the Guardalas.
