The Vat
They have a website www.thevatpub.com but it is disappointing because they never update the coming attractions part. Use the website to get their address and phone number before you visit Red Deer so you can check who is playing. The clientele is mostly junior college kids and the ambience is genial. They sometimes get big name ( canadian ) acts that are in transit between Calgary and Edmonton but most of the time it is standard small town bands. On the surface this sounds pretty lame, but for a small western prairie town in the center of cowboy and oil rig country it is pretty good.
