Hi,

I've been playing alto only for a few weeks and have started getting saliva coming thru the upper tone holes (A) onto my fingers after about 15-20 min of practice.

I'm wondering if it might be normal for a beginner and may go away when my embouchure gets more developed?
Or does it need to get corrected now? Could it be related to fingering or blowing?

My alto is a new yamaha and I don't believe it has a problem.

thanks, Tezmo

Do you lean forward sometimes when you play? It's perfectly normal to have spit coming out from tone holes after a while of practicing, thanks to good old gravity. 8)
