OK. Titles, except for those defined by Administrators, have been turned off. So has the Reputation System feature.
STATEMENTS:
* I ask anyone that HAS a title that IS offended by it in whatever way to first please forgive the folks that have been handing out the titles and then contact ME. I'll remove your title immediately.
* If anyone was offended by the brief experiment with the Reputation system, I'm very sorry.

In both instances, a majority of the SOTW membership wanted to have both features. Unfortunately, there was a very vocal minority that wanted them turned off.
It's just not worth the time and/or effort for me to explain or defend these features to these other posters. So, sorry, folks. These features are off permanently.
If I start seeing complaints about avatars/signatures -- unless it's about someone's avatar/signature that's blatantly inappropriate -- those features will be turned off, too.
