I'm Kellie and I play sax *Hi Kellie ala support group meetings*. :lol:

Anyways, I'm in the South Houston, Angleton, Freeport, Clute, Lake Jackson area. Or to be short, Brazoria County. Just wondering if there's any activity around here with any of y'all. I'm not allowed to play at Brazosport College anymore because of previous non-commital reasons. I'm all over that and am completely and utterly lonely. I've lost my only place to play and I fear that I cannot fix it. If any of y'all have jam sessions or whatever.. send me a note. I'm losing my mind here! :twisted: I need to play so badly. If nothing else, just say hi so I know I'm not alone in this cultural black hole :) :lol:

I'm up in Houston near Bush Intercontinental airport. I was down in Lake Jackson 5 weeks ago doing 4 nights of revival at First Baptist of Lake Jackson. I was playing improvisationally through all the songs. That doesn't mean I was soloing. It means that I was making up my part as I played. Mostly, I embellished the singer(s) or provided a base of support for their singing.

There's another player from your area who frequents SOTW. I'll try to hunt down his alias and post it here for you.

It would be a great idea to have a greater Houston get together.

Howdy you all Texans. I used to live in Rosenberg, and Houston. Also lived in Bay City for awhile. My brother lives in Spring, my son in Katy, and a daughter in Wallis. I play with the Tenor Sax. Yes, I said, play with. I am still learning!

I will be in Spring in a couple of weeks helping my brother paint his house. We have not set a definite date yet. Maybe we could get together somewhere and talk music.

Hi, I'm Clay. I live in Alief (West Houston.) I go to San Jac (Pasadena), teach in League City(Clear Creek ISD), and play in a band based out of Texas City. I'm currently studying with Larry Slezak (Director of Jazz at Rice) and Chester Rowell (Clarinet with Houston Ballet). Next school year I'll be transfering to Southwest Texas State in San Marcos as a jazz major.

Lyle, I was born in Houston but grew up in Bay City.

I lived in Alief for a few years. At Boone and Belaire. I know the area well. It seems there are many Sax players in Houston area.

San Marcos is a nice place. Beautiful country! Ah, the Hill Country of Tex. I have rafted down the Guadalupe a few times. I will be moving back to Texas soon as I sell this oppossum farm in Arkansas.
