I dimly recall there was some discussion of this brand on the last board, but don't remember what the conclusion was re quality - can anyone remind me? Thanks in advance.

Looks like I found the answer myself - at least for this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=624&item=252557335 1&rd=1 That's gotta be a Dolnet stencil, right?

Sure looks like a Dolnet to me. Beautiful horn, & the price is right, too!!
I wonder if "Paul" was any relation to "Gus", the founder of the Buescher Band Instrument Co. in Elkhart, Ind. . . .

I think a discussion on the old board established that there was no connection Hornlip; NB Gus BUEscher - Paul BEUscher.
Is a cool horn though...

Anybody ever try playing a reed that has been sanded and clipped like that one? They play beautifully.
That's a dead ringer for a Dolnet. I'd sure have a hard time buying from the Ivory Coast though, with all of the scams going around.

I guess you're right, I just read "Cote d'" and ignored the rest. You know how your brain will read "I ate the the pudding" and automatically eliminate the extra word...
My bad...
