Recently, we have noticed a few minor improvements that I fealt to share.
1. Overall build quality. This has really improved over the past 2 years on all of Antiguas horns. These new 550LQ's that I just received are built just about as well as anything I have seen.
2. Metal Grade. They are saying that all their metal is now out of Germany. I believe it. We have noticed a stronger overall metal and also they have improved a few minor "weak points" recently.
3. Overall Playability. This is just impressive. I think that the 550LQ is probably one of the best playing under $2000 horns on the market right now. Absolutely fantastic.
4. Lacquer Color. They have darkened the lacquer. While this doesnt affect the playing, it looks better. They have darkened it up. They almost look like the Reference 36 lacquer now.
Quite nice. I will be photoing the new setups soon.
They are now in stock at $995 if anyone needs a solid horn.
