Weird! Been doing fine working back into my chops then out of the blue I'm having trouble with hitting mid C and B!
Come across it in a run, mostly going up, and SQUEAK! Nothing before or after. I've changed my reed a couple times and it helps (could be a mental thing) and the horn looks OK as far as I can see. Anyone have this problem? Might be I'm playing more agressive as I get my mind/fingers more in sync?

If you are getting a good embrochure seal, and have changed your reed a coupla times, and made sure your lig is tight, the you might have to take the horn to a tech. Do you have any problems with middle D? Which C fingering are you using? B with the side key? If so, your B key might be leaking. Try middle C with only the A key depressed. If you have a leak light, use that, but a good tech is probably the best course of action.

Just standard pointing and middle finger fingering. No problem with D or any other note. Not use to side key except for b flat. I think I'll see if one of the other sax players at the next comunity practice has a problem with it when using their mouth piece. It may just be in my head but it sure seems mechanical :roll:
BTW, its a YAS23.
Thanks

Just for anyone who might come across this problem;
I was trying to line my neck up with the bell and in doing so I was making the neck octive open ever so slightly.
This is because the bell on this horn is offset (can't remember if my old Conn was ) and when you put the neck inline it pushes the lift loop mech. off center and opend the octive just enough to mess up the middle C & B.
Live and learn :D
Yea Yea, its is simple to you but "news" to me :roll:
