Okay...im getting a Yamaha-62II from www.prowinds.com. They are located in Indiana and I am in New York...I have talked to them and they have reserved a Silver Plated sax for me. My question is...do you think its save to order from them and how do I make sure that my sax has the fixed G1 neck?
Also...what are the main differences between the Yamaha-62 and the Yamaha-62II?

I sent back an 82Z tenor to Pro Winds. I do not believe that the revised G1 neck has been released yet. Pro Winds is a reputable yamaha dealer. I gather from your post that they are 'reserving' a 62II. This would imply that they are not going to send one out to customers until it can be packed with the revised G1 neck. call them. They are well aware of this issue. Ask if they are waiting for the revised G1 neck BEFORE shipping to you.
the 62II has bluesteel springs, which supposedly are more durable and have a better keywork feel. Of course, the G1 neck is the other major enhancement.
