Does any body know anything about this model? Alto 60xxx and tenor 66xxx. Both instruments have D# and G# trill keys, high F#, original "red" pads and are are in immaculate condition for age. Tone is dark but not as spread as a selmer from similiar era. Are these instruments common?

Any information appreciated.
Thankyou.

These are in fact fairly common but come under all sorts of disguise (and
also as Jean cartier Stencil if I'm not mistaken). My understanding is that
the Royal Jazz is one variation of the Belair that was Dolnet's main professional line from the 50s to the 70s. They all have the typical semi-hexagonal keyguard shape and you're likely to find them for a good price.
I don't know much abou the variation in quality but I've heard only good things about the Dolnet of this era. Again, you're in a better position to judge with the horns in your hands !!!
