My sister-in-law, an aspiring jazz alto sax player, has made it known she'd like an instructional DVD or 2 for Christmas. Can anyone recommend some good ones? She's more than a rank beginner, but perhaps less than a full-fledged intermediate. Feel free to direct me to a thread, if one already exists.
Thanks.

If she's going for jazz, she has to be able to improvise, and there's no place better to start than here (http://www.berkleemusic.com/store/product?product%5fid=29466&category%5fid=15&usca%5 fp=t) -- the Eddie Tomassi DVD on beginning improv. Eddie teaches at Berklee and he is friends with my band director, as well as playing in a local dance band with him. You cannot go wrong with his material.
Might also consider Jamey Aebersold's "Jazz: Anyone Can Improvise" DVD.
