1) Nickel-plated on gold lacquered verion
2) Black Nickel version

Is there any difference these horns in sound?
If SX90R Black Nickel tenor very similar to Guardala BG-500BN/ 501BN ?

I've heard that the black nickel and the vintage gold lacquer over nickel sound similar. I'm looking at an alto to go with my recently acquired SX90R tenor, and I'm probably going with whichever of those finishes I can get the cheapest.

morry, are you going for the straight? i'm thinking of the straight since i already have a curved sx90r tenor. except for the sticky pad problem, great horn.

I ended up with a gold lacquer over nickel curved alto. I'd still love to have a straight alto or tenor, though.
