Just got my Antigua 582 LQ, plays and sounds great, everybody's word on these saxes is right on. The sound is smooth and consistent from top to bottom, notes easy to hit top to bottom, great tone!
I can recommend Scimonetti Woodwind and Brass, and their ebay store Scimonetti*com as a place to get one. Price was good, shipping prompt and reasonable. I had a minor problem and emailed them. Jimmy Scimonetti called me back the same day (within a couple hours of email) and solved the problem.
I know everybody's probably weary of hearing about Antigua's at this point but just had to share my experience.

Glad to hear that you are pleased with it. I just ordered one from Dave Kessler, and will let everyone know what I think when it gets here and I have had little time to play around with it.

Congratulation with your new sax... Another happy sop. player.
Saxes like this Antigua series make me very nervous about investing 2X-4X as much in any major brand instrument - unless you've just got tons of money. If they can do this with sopranos, watch out altos and tenors! There are already some good reviews of inexpensive saxes out there, and I expect the next wave of models might take the roof off.

Antigua has done it with their altos, IMHO. The Antigua 520LQ alto is a great sounding horn, equal in quality, response and intonation to their latest line of sop's that are getting nothing but praise from users. It also leaves little to be desired in the looks and feel departments with solid, snappy keywork and looks that turn the heads of other sax players when you bring it to the party.
I recommended the Antigua 590LQ to a friend of mine who had tried a 580 earlier and was very disappointed with it. He got his 590LQ from Kessler and is delighted with it in every respect.

Well, My 582LQ arrived today from Dave Kessler, and inspite of the fact that I have a horrible cold, I was able to take it for a test run. What can I say, I am truely dumbfounded by the horn. The only real difference between the Antigua and it's comparable Yani model is the use of plastic key pearls instead of mother of pearl (not a big deal). The fit, finish, quality control, keywork, intonation, and tone is unbelievable, for the low price paid, and for any price actually. It outplays most of my vintage sopranos that I have, much to my surprise.
I can only heap praises of adoration upon Dave Kessler, and Chuck Kessler for his excellent setup of the horn. They are a delight to deal with, added a nice surprise to my order, and were as prompt, honest, and knowledgeable as one could ever hope for.
If Antigua Winds can produce horns in the rest of their line that equal their Soprano clones, the rest of the market had better lookout!

As soon as I get word of my refund on the sop I bought from WWBW, I'm placing an order for this very same sax from Kessler Music. Had intonation problems with my wwbw sax (Bandnow). Looking forward to it. It sure looks great on Dave Kessler's web site (and/or his Ebay auction).
