i don't want to spend a fortune on a sopranino. i just want to play it in church and for fun
I am considering an Earlam or a saxophone.com.
does anyone have any experience with either?
how about a Sugal?
I cannot afford a yanigisawa

I've heard good things about the Earlam. I think they're only about $800. A SOTW member is selling a Gulf sopranino in the horns for sale section for $500. You may want to check that out.

Someone told me that anyone with the equipment to manufacture sopraninos must be able to do it well. They have a very small tolerance for mistakes. A saxophone.com or Sugal would be fine.

I have an Earlham and it is very good, I don't use it much but it always works well. It is a copy of the Yanagisawa and whilst it is not so well-finished, it plays really well. It was tried by a pro player I know who pronounced that the intonation was better than his Yanagisawa. It came with quality pads and a very usable mouthpiece that looks like a copy of the Selmer mouthpiece. I suspect the sam horn is being sold under other names - the ones marketed by Dixon and Sugal for example, look identical - I wouldn't think there are many factories making 'ninos so probably they are the same horn.
