Francesco Cafiso , I can't believe my ear and nobody will believe their ear when they listen to this 14 years Old boy sound. When I listen to him, I think Wood is playing. I don't think any other Master play like him when they were 14 years old. When I first listen to him recently, I think he is unreal, like came from another planet.
This Italian boy now is not famous in America but in soon I think he is a legend

Oh my god. I want to throw my horns over the nearest bridge now. This kid is unbelievable. I can't wait to hear him when he gets to drinking age. Just think how much more mature his playing will be then.
Thanks for the heads up, Tears. He deserves the recognition.

My God! these 2 boys are unreal ! I also want to throw my horn & I feel shame!
They are both great. But I like Francesco Cafiso more because of his Ab Lids style. His style & feel is unique, just like an Alien flying from another planet.
Don't know how many hours these 2 boys working with their horn everyday.
Actually, the songs in Francesco web site is already 2 years ago.
Now, he is even much much better. If you have chance, try to get his 2004 CD.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing about these two players. Alex Han is a more pattern-oriented player while Francesco Cafiso is more spontaneous. What makes Cafiso so damn amazing to me is that his solos are so freakin' tasteful. To play such tasteful and sophisticated solos at that age is unbelievable.

I know a really, really good classical altoist here in Adelaide. His name is Kevin Wang, he's 17 and he played May and Slap Me Scratch Me at an eisteddfod recently and played both brilliantly.

You might want to check me out too! I am 13 and can play out of that rubanks selected studies book. LOL JK I know my skill aren't impressive, but these two are phenominal! I envy them. Man a wish I could play like that that would be so awesome! I better practice nine hours a day instead of four. LOL

I'd rather work my way up there than be born with a superb gift like that. They sound great, but they don't understand what they are playing half the time. They just play years ahead of their time, not knowing all the fundamentals of their craft.
Don't compare yourself to them.
Just my 2 cents.

Skill... need... must... have... no... skill... i... am... not... worthy... to... play... alto... anymore. LOL JK I am worthy (I hope) lol I guess I am good but I really dont care, playing sax is too much fun to go quitting or something. I know a lot of people that quit last year, that was depressing  but at least I still play it and I guess that I am kind of rambling so I better just shut up now.
