I just sold a pan am alto that played very well. This one was I think maybe from the 30's. It had a simple micro tuner on the neck. Kinda like a neck tenon in reverse. It was kinda cool. push the mpc all the way on and tune using the microtuner and then tighten the set screw. everytime you play just push the mouthpiece all the way on an you're in tune. Anyway the horn was definitely a good player, Played just like a Conn from the same era.

The Pan Ams were in fact made by CONN. Usually the Pan Am shared the same features of the CONN of the corresponding year. One feature that all of the Pan Ams lacked however were the rolled tone holes.
