People other than Dom selling Moniques?

I thought Monique was the house brand of Dominic's Music, but yet lately I've seen Moniques arising on ebay being sold by other people...

Monique and DC Pro are Dom's private labels. However, I have received numerouse e-mails and faxes with an offer to drop ship horns for me. All I would have to do is put them on my site.

Thats most liekly what this is. However, since I know where he buys his horns from, if I actually Wanted the horns, I would buy them direct from the factory.

I posted this elsewhere in April; I don't remember where, offhand:

I was sent an e-mail spam from a NAMELESS SAXOPHONE DEALER who wished me to sell horns from him, including DC Pro instruments (which are essentially Moniques). Considering this spam mail was sent to a whole bunch of well-known saxophone "names", this may be the reason why there has been an "explosion" in folks that sell these instruments.

I've also mentioned elsewhere on this Forum that most of the folks that currently sell Moniques -- and there are a few "dealer" dealers -- used to sell the Heimer and Parker lines. The only reason I'm interested in these, which were mainly the same quality as the Moniques, is that some Heimers and Parkers were made from the same tooling that the SML's were produced on -- and, considering I'm the SML "guy", I wanted to find out if these dealers could tell me who actually made these horns.

Not a single dealer returned my e-mails.

Monique came on to the scene only a few years ago, maybe 1999 or 1998. Dominic's Music used to have a little blurb on their website that said something like, "This was a manufacturer that was going out of business. I bought all his stock." Obviously, whomever produces the Monique isn't out of business because they keep coming out with newer models :).

UGH!

I got ANOTHER fax just now from Dominics on this. I had to call and get borderline rude. Then his "guy who is handling this" claims that he spoke with someone in my shop and they said to go ahead and fax it. Problem is, I would be the only one who he would have talked to about it.

Frustrating.
