I have noticed that it is not possible to access the page www.saxontheweb.net from a mac (either OS9 or X) I tried several macs too and they all have the same problem: they get to - downloading www.saxontheweb.net/images2/nav_r01_c4.gif and no further.
perhaps you could have a look at this file and fix the problem as its caught me out a few times now and is a bit of a nuisance.
Thanks

We are in process of moving the SOTW proper site www.saxontheweb.net and the SOTW Forum http://forum.saxontheweb.net to a common, new server. It will take some time for the domain name translation to propagate through various name servers on the WWW. So many of you may see some temporary problems.
Your problem, though, sounds a bit bizarre. Either the page should show or not. Unfortunately I have no access to a Mac. Maybe saxpics could take a look once he will wake up in Arizona. Please report back after 12 hours on the status of this problem.
Thanks for your patience,

If you have any problems with the www.saxontheweb.net (SOTW proper) you may want to try
http://danzig.lunarpages.com/~saxont2/
I am emphasizing that these problems should be over in matter of hours rather than in days.
It looks as though the SOTW main 'site, www.saxontheweb.net, has problems with Macintoshes running Internet Explorer 5.1 or higher. I don't have a problem connecting via Safari or Firefox. I didn't check my panoply of Netscape browsers, but I'd assume if Firefox works, they would too.
Harri, the website is trying to load a script to determine which version of Internet Explorer the visitor has -- and most of these scripts don't realize Macs use IE 5.1 or 5.2.x, NOT IE 5.0, 5.5 or 6.x.
This is NOT a problem with the DNS change. This affects both the original and new www.saxontheweb.net pages.

I have to take a closer look.

The problem is still there, I am using Explorer 5.1(unfortunately) and Saxpics point seems to be correct as I can access the site fine using Netscape. - have'nt tried safari yet - but will do from a mac at work later today.
Thanks

ThanksI created a Test Page that is the SOTW Home page with all scripts removed. Please try this one:
http://danzig.lunarpages.com/~saxont2/test.html
If it works on IE 5.1, I will start adding the scripts back one by one until we find the culprit.
Thanks,
-Harri
Sorry; fails under IE 5.1 and 5.2.3 (MacOS 9.2.2 and 10.3.4, respectively).
I dunno about sax dog, but, for me IE actually freezes when trying to connect.

I dunno about sax dog, but, for me IE actually freezes when trying to connect.Removed two attributes, although supported in HTML 4.01, were not implemented in IE 5.0.
If this did not solve the problem, I do not know what to do next.

Tried your link (I.e 5.2 OS 10.2.6) and it still wont work - doesnt actually freeze explorer but puts it into a fruitless download cycle, the only way out I've found is to force quit.
Thanks for your help
