Dear all
I have a chance to buy a second hand CAnnonball A98b saxophone, can anyone tell me it is a good horn, the price would be around USD 650 in excellent condition, is it fair price? sutiable for new user?
your input would be appreciated
thanks
Don't know much about Cannonballs, but have heard good things about them. If you do decide to buy it, be sure to have a tech check it out. It is from my experience that when learning a new instrument, it is hard to determine whether it's the horn or if it's the person playing the horn.
I had learned and then troubleshooted an instrument TWICE and I can tell you it is not pleasant. It will be more difficult for you because I knew how to play sax, but was troubleshoot and learning Bb clarinet. Year later, was learning and then troubleshooting a Contra Alto Clarinet. Not pleasant, but I found the problem and made sure it got fixed. Just trying to imagine a beginner woodwind player playing a broken instrument.
