Dave Guardala BN Horn Keys

Are the keys on the Dave Guardala Black Nickel (BN) horns lacquered over the silver plate, or are these a raw silver plated surface that may require periodic polishing?

Is this true for other B&S Horns such as the Medusa?

The B&S black and silver keyed Medusas do NOT have a lacquer coat on top of the silver. They can & should be polished.

I clean those silver plated parts on my Dave Guardala Black Nickel (BN) tenor once a week (or once every two weeks). It's too painful do this work on some keys because hide by some rods.

I always looking for an easy way to do this work (but not disassembly my horn). Anybody has good suggestion ?
