Do you think Selmer Paris will release a Series III Harmonic Tenor saxophone (2 octave keys) if so when?
It's been available for a while now. I've seen Dominic selling them on eBay.
The harmonic key is a special order item. You have to request it through your dealer.

Do you know what finish options it comes in and are there Harmonic Reference Tenors?

Never heard of a Ref with the harmonic mechanism.

Dominic's has a Series II harmonic tenor listed on his website:

I'd be interested to see/play a Series III with this feature, too.

I have a Series II alto that i ordered in the mid 1990s with the 'H' key. At the time, no one in Elkhart knew anything about it, so i sent them some info from a Paris catalog i'd picked up in the early 90s. At that time, the H key was an option on either alto or tenor, and was separate from the finish and other stuff.
My best guess would be that you could order any of the alto or tenor models with this key, but it would definitely be a special order, ala, more $$ and significant wait time(as in months, several to many months), deposits, no right of refusal(you order it, you bought it).
Give it a shot, and let us know what you come up with.
My horn ended up being the best Series II i've yet come across...plated finish, H key, nice little puppy. :D

Does this new key add a lot of help to the altissimo notes? Is it worth the cost? How much of a difference did you notice?

i've posted several blurbs in the past on this site and the old SOTW site, so you might wanna poke around a bit to get more details...short of it is, IMO, it doesn't help make the altissimo easier, but using it instead of, or in combo with the normal register key, gives you more tuning options. It does NOT function as a 'High G' key. It *does* help a lot with tuning right above the staff, lowers G#, A, Bb if used instead of the normal key.
