A few years ago I bought an Antigua Winds soprano, and have struggled with it ever since. I played a student model Alto in high school and thought it would be fun to try a soprano. But I can't ever seem to play in tune throughout the range of the horn without making lots of embochure adjustments.
As a result, I have been considering a return to the Alto of my youth and have read good things about the Yani horns. My question is this: Is there a significant difference between the 901 and 991 series that justifies the additional cost? Also, does the bronze horn differ much from the standard laquered horn? I just want to get a horn that I can enjoy and play on occasion with others or in church or whereever without worrying about intonation problems or unintentionally jumping an octave.
