It seems like a pretty interesting concept.
Anyone ever play one? What's it sound like? How would one hold it? What do you think about it?

If that's what you are after, I would strongly suggest you look at the Keilwerth model instead.

It looks/feels/sounds different...It's like a totally different horn. I agree w/the Keilwerth though...try theirs....their straight alto/tenor blows the LA Sax one's away.

Never tried the LA sax Straight tenor but I do own a Keilwerth Straight tenor. These JK's are serious horns, check one out for yourself.

I wonder if they will come out with a straight bari next. I can picture it looking something like that 'alpine horn' that is used in the Riccola cough- drop commercials on T.V. Joe.

I like the 'Dizzy G' Tenor. Who needs a leave blower. A great combination for sax practice and lawn care. Joe.

Low A Tenor *drool*
Why would you ever want a straight tenor? Are they an improvement of the current ones or just another toy?

The LA Sax was very cool. Straight Tenor is very cool looking and very different sounding. I think it could be very cool in the studio and pretty tough to mic for live shows, but it looks so cool. I would get one if I could get it set up right and plated.
