Now since its been a while since some of you have bought your Antigua horns, i have to ask the questions. Has anything been falling apart? Does it still play the same the way you got? DO you have any problems with the horn?

A590-LQ soprano, 2 years, no problems.
A530-SP alto, 3 years, no problems.
I heard the old "they fall apart" about Yamaha years ago, and it did not happen. I heard it about another of those "offbrand Japanese" saxes, Yanagisawa. I heard it about other brands, and most of that is from people that sell other brands.

In the past I owned a Yanagisawa A-5 from 1971. Very well built horn.
I presently own an Antigua Winds A-590 SPC that I bought used and the horn is very solid mechanically. The horn is all original and appears to be a year or two old.

I've played mine on about 20gigs so far and for some reason due to my stand it gets banged around a little. My tenor is never touched but the soprano has been whacked twice by the bass player and I even hit the bell on the monitor during a quick sop->tenor change. Even with the abuse it looks and plays like new. As a matter of fact there are no scratches or wear visible anywhere! Amazing for the price.
I own a 586-LQ Soprano for thr last 6 months with no problems at all...

I too have a 1 year old 586-LQ Soprano, and I'd sware it plays better now than when new: or I'm becoming a better player. HaHa!
No complaints here.

One year with my 590-BC, and I still love it. I've had it to the shop to have some of the key cups soldered better to the key 'bars' - there were little gaps where the key cups were attached to the keys in a few of the lower notes that resulted in easily bent keys and big leaks - but with that resolved, it's solid. If Antigua's tenors were as good (are they? will they be someday?) then I'd buy one of those as well.
