Yep, it's yet another "where should I go to college?" question... I know a lot of you may be sick of them, but I'm going to go ahead an ask, anyway.

I live in Fargo, ND... I am looking for somewhere relatively close to study music. I'd like to stay within about 10 hours of home, if possible.

I'm looking for a medium-medium small school where I can get a good education in both jazz and legit music. My goal, as silly as it may seem, is to teach; preferably sax at a college level, but I am well aware of how scarce those jobs are. I would "stoop" to teaching highschool, as well.

What do I have near me? I know there are a few schools down in Chicago, but that's a little far for me.. maybe something a little closer?

Isn't Kenneth Tse at Iowa? Is that close enough to you? He is a pretty famous classical player.

Yes, Kenneth Tse is in Iowa, and he is amazing. Otis Murphy in Indiana, both of which are former students of Eugene Rousseau who is my teacher at the U of minnesota. There are many, many options in the mid-west.
