I´m looking for a active monitor for two horn section (sax&trumpet). Both horns use clip mics and the monitor would be connected to the main mixer AUX connection.UK made LANEY has reasonably priced active monitor, 150W with 1x15" Driver and Horn (model CP15).Would this be OK for two horns,is 15" speaker big enough for two horns (trying to avoid distortion) and is 150W enough power for louder gigs? Thanks for your help!

Subtone Sam; By active monitor do you mean powered monitor?
Check out the Mackie SRM 450. Billed as a speaker, but I've seen them used as monitors. I haven't tried 'em myself yet, but if they're anywhere near the quality of their mixers they'll be great. Check them out at www.mackie.com.

Are you going to be putting the whole band mix in the monitor, or just the sax and trumpet. If it's just the horns, a 15" speaker might be OK, but if this is a loud rock/rb band, and the whole band is in the mix, you're going to want an 18" speaker. I've used the latter setup with a non-powered monitor and a Mackie 808S powered mixer, and was able to get a nice mix on the horns.

i've had good luck using a mackie srm 450 in monitoring situations. the speaker enclosure is designed to lay on its side used as a floor wedge. plus, the tweeter and woofer are biamplified, so you don't have to worry about your bari cutting out when the trumpet player squeals.
