I'm looking at buying either a JK SX90 or a Yani A991, however I'm finding that the yani has a very warm, dark sound while the keilwerth has brighter jazzier sound. So, I've been having trouble getting a bright tone out of the yani and a dark tone out of the keilwerth.
What mpc/reed combo do you use with your keilwerth for classical work?

On my SX90R I'd use a Vandoren V5 A28, Hemke 3 with Optimum lig for classical. But in reality I'd rather play classical on a Buffet horn.

I also use the A28 (with Optimum lig and Rico Grand Concert 2.5 reeds), and also use a Selmer Metal Classic. Previously, I used a Meyer New York Ltd 6M and a Rovner lig, and that also worked well on the JK horn for classical music. Although a JK can produce a wide, open, jazzy sound it is also a viable classical horn as it can sound very warm and rich, too. I own both an Anniversary (like MAG does) and a Selmer III, and I prefer the Selmer for classical and it plays faster and responds better up in the palm key area so I feel more confident with demanding stuff on that.

I find the Keilwerth having a darker sound than the Yanagisawa. For classical I have a Soloist C* with blue box #4 reeds.
