SDA Alto replacement neck

Has anyone tried replacing an SDA neck with an aftermarket neck? Any good matches for my 19780s/n SDA ?

My SDA crook has the half moon cut out , so I would imagine it would be quite difficult to find an after market one. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the cut out is there to allow access for the high F# vent on the sax neck....... Hey, what do I know, I just play the thing :lol:

my SDA doesn't have a high F# key, so at least the neck doesn't need that mod.
Have you ever tried to fit other necks on it? I have a feeling Keilwerth may fit, but it's just a guess.

I've not had the chance to try personally.

It is possible the Keiwerth ones may work, or even the Buffet prestige (made by Keilwerth I believe)

One thing I know for certain: The S1 neck fits. I know of someone obtaining an S1 crook for his SDA Tenor, and he got his direct from Buffet. Or Boosey, or The Music Group.........or what ever else they may be calling themselves now........
Another SDA player got an S1 neck from Mr Ponzol. It fit like a glove apparently.
