I am going to order a Borgani alto. There are some options I am considering. I would be interested in opinions on:
1) Welded Bell
2) High F# key
3) The silver neck (also an option) comes in three wall thicknesses: 0.60mm, 0.65mm, and 0.70mm
I would appreciate opinions. Thanks!

Wow, I wish that I could afford ordering a new Borgani. I can't personally give you much feedback on the welded bell... The theory behind it is that if the bell is welded to the body the instrument vibrates as a whole.
I would opt for a high F# key. A lot of people say Mark VI's without it play better since there is less opportunity for any air to leak out, and the air stream isn’t disrupted as early on its way through the instrument. But I use the key a lot and would miss it. But, if you don't mind playing F# plateau than it comes down to personal preference.
As for neck wall thickness, the general rule of thumb is: the thinner the wall; the brighter the sound -- the thicker the wall; the darker/mellower sound.
If you are near Roberto's Woodwind (assuming you are in America) you should play what they have in stock so you can get a feel for the various options.
I'm sure you'll love the instrument... Pearl-Silver, and Pearl-Gold are my favourite finishes.

I have played the pearl gold and silver and preferred the silver. I have never had an F# key and therefore don't miss it. I have heard that it can be problematic. I wish I could try the 3 neck thicknesses. I love my Gloger silver neck on my Conn Tranny. The only downside that I have heard with the welded bell is repair work. I don't even want to consider that!
