Hey, I'm looking for a place to buy a vintage horn and i'm a little worried about not being able to play it before i buy it. Does anyone know of any good people in the area who i should look at?

Go over to USA Horn in Kenilworth, NJ. Or I hear that Rayburn Music has a store in the city. Their main store is in Boston. Either placed should be able to accomodate you.

LOOK UP MICHEAL'S MUSIC. I'M ALMOST SURE THERE IN EITHER HEMPSTEAD OR BABYLON LONG ISLAND. CALL INFORMATION, THEY ALSO HAVE ADDS IN THE VILLAGE VOICE.

you should definately check out joe sax. He is one of the best repair guys around and is very honest, knowledgable, and has some great stuff. YOu can try everything before you buy it and if comes form him the horn will definately be great. usa horns doesn't compare to him. He has worked on some of the best players horns. Go to joesax.com.. good luck

For vintage woodwind and brass instruments in the NYC area, the largest selection can be found at Roberto's Woodwind & Brass-165 W48th St., NY, NY (888) 7676-SAX http://www.robertoswoodwind.com

Joe sax man. I'm teeling you he has the most selection of vintage sax around and is one hell of a repair guy. No one around him comes close. You will get a great horn if it comes from him. I;m not from masapequa
