hey
does anyone know of any good shops for saxophones in or near Birmingham UK?I'm having real trouble finding somewhere to repair my sax when/if it has a problems. I dont trust any of the places I know of, most that I know of just seem to be after money and have gone into the supplying saxes for schools route.
Shops/or private technicians will be fine......ones that are trustworthy and value for money please!

I would heartily recommend Sheehans in Leicester, just 50 yards from the station. They're competent, have a good stock, and the German guy who does all the services and repairs does a good job at a decent price.

You could also just hop on the train and go to Cadenza Music in Northampton. It's run by Paul Egan and he's a good guy. He wont mess you around.

Hi griff136,

I use Midland Music on the Stratford Road in Birmingham. They are a music school (ABRSM approved), music shop and repairers. I have my lessons there and have had my sax repaired in the past. In fact it is going in again next week end for some more work as I was so impressed by the speed and low cost of the work done.
