Would like to find a good repair tech in the area to repad/clean/adjust my Mark VII Tenor. I also have a Conn stencil tenor, a clarinet, a flute, a metal clarinet and an oboe that all need work done.... eventually!
I have read good things about Ed Fleming in Houston. Would like to hear of others, if any.
Fred: Who do you use?

I had replied to another posting that I thought John Butler was in Arizona, but it turns out he's in Texas (somewhere) -- I'm not positive he repairs saxes but he has a very good reputation for clarinet work.

I'll second the vote for Ed Fleming. www.flemingrepair.com

John Butler is near Houston, and he does work on saxes.

I am very pleased with a clarinet he rebuilt.

Some good testimonials about John's work on clarinets just posted on the clarinet bulletin board. www.woodwind.org.

Watch out, there are two John Butlers! There is one in Houston and one in Dallas. Both I hear are great techs (I go to John in Dallas because he's closer).

Incredible! What are the odds of there being two woodwind repair technicians named "John Butler" in the same state? Truth is indeed stranger than fiction.............

If there's another one named Steve Goodson in Louisana, stay away from both of them. (Sorry, some setups are just too good to pass up)
