Buying a Frank Holton Alto

I am contemplating buying a Frank Holton, E flat, Alto Sax, price yet to be determined.

The ser# is 32846. From this number, is anyone able to tell me in what year it was manufactured, or where I can write to, to obtain this information.

Additionally, are Holton saxes known to be instruments of high quality or not.

Made about 1915 and they are not noted as a high quality instrument.Dodgy intonation etc

I have a Holton from 1917 that is a Martin Handcraft stencil and differs only in some of the keywork. Plays the same as the Martins. I have about $350 in mine with new pads so that is about the average price for the condition.
