Hello out there in Sax Land. I am a new Saxophone Apprentice. My 12 year old son who has been taking lessons and plays both in the school and jazz band, will be my at home teacher. I will also take lessons from his private instructor as well. We will learn and grow together. My son has a Yamaha Y23 Alto and I just bought an Antigua 586 Soprano.
All I can say now is "I GOT MYSELF A HORN" ... :D :D :D
PS I am 51 years old and very excited about this!

Hello Mr. Lonely,
I am very HAPPY :D to know that you are getting into a new adventure. Welcome aboard! and I hope that you'll never stop learning and growing. My sax teacher told me 14 years ago that have of his class are professionals in their middle age and having a real good time. Some of them are doctors and Lawyers. I myself is having a new beginning in my Jazz pursuit. It doesn't come to you - It only calls you. You have to catch it and grab it and hold on to it. Then you'll get the benefits of it.
By the way, I am also taking lessons with my 11 year old son. I am 34 now.
