I have a silver plated tenor that says king but has ajustable felts and has sml type spatulas.
It doesnt have 2 individual key guards but instead has one. Also the serial # for sml on this site seems to match up with the machanics, the serial # for king puts it in the 1910s. Is this an sml?
could it be a stencil that king doctored up?

KING MARKETED SML SOPRANO'S, ALTO'S, TENORS, AND BARI'S IN THIS COUNTRY UNDER THE KING "MARIGAUX"*
NAME. THEY ARE EXACTLY LIKE SML'S OWN LOGO'D HORNS EXCEPT FOR THE KING MARIGAUX NAME.

*SML STANDS FOR STRASSER-LEMAIRE-MARIGAUX
