on tuesday i am going to a sax workshop with pat labarbera, and it is advertised that they will have the new selmers there to try. I am pretty sure they are not on sale yet, so i am pretty excited. Hopefully they have tenors and altos. Maybe il bring along my bari mouthpiece in case they are making a bari version, i have no idea. Anyone know if they make altos as well? cause i dont play tenor (yet) so it would be dissapointing if they only had tenors.

The reference 54 alto is not currently out for sale yet, but they might have the prototype if that's what your talking about. There is currently no bari being created in the reference line, although its a possibility in a few years. They might have the new Series III baritone for you to try though! let us know what you see.

Have Fun experimenting wih all the new horns, & while your at it, ask Pat how he liked working for Buddy Rich back in the early 70's.

BTW, is this up in Toronto?

yep. its in toronto. i forget the location.

il have to take my bari mpc up there too. on the cart advertising it they say that there will be "special kickoff pricing for those particapating" Im hoping, if the price is right, that i could find a horn and just buy one, but im sure this wont happen. im still shopping. i gotta try the series 3's.

there is also a jazz concert with the pat lebarbera quartet after it too. its gonna be great i hope!
