Is the only way to acuire a Ref. 54 by pre-purchase? It seems that no one has them in stock. Do you think Selmer will ever get supply to meet demand on this???

Theres two at usahorn.com, They have a regular reference 54, and a rare engraved version, but there asking price is steep. Im happy with my reference 36, and am looking forward to the reference Altos. I do have a friend who has a reference 54 for sale.

I'm still investigating this horn. I haven't reached a decision of to keep it or to sell it yet. I am still investigating necks.

Considering the prices of the Ref. 54 buying from Europe is the only way I can afford one.
For you guys that have bought this horn from oversees, what was the price you paid for shipping? I know it depends on where you sre in the States but I would appreciate it if you would tell me what you some of you have paid.

It's about $140 from Australia to California. If they ship it by air mail, you may not get tagged for Customs duty, about 5% of the purchase price.
