I don't understand why Selmers would be chosen over a Keilwerth SX90 or SX90R, the sound is so much greater and powerful in a Keilwerth. I tried a Series 3 and it was a solid horn, but it had weak sound emission.

VOLUME isn't everything. I perceive greater flexibility in my Selmers. I seldom, when playing at full volume, feel I need any more projection.
Go for the tone (wherever you find it).

Yeah who needs volume in this day and age. Everyone plays into a mic anyway. And I've heard people say that a Selmer with it's more centered tone will work better with a mic.

Having swithced from a Keilwerth SX90 to a Selmer, l like tone of the Selmer better. If you want loud try the Series III, not much diff between that and a SX90 in terms of volume.
