I own one (for low A) and am personally very pleased with it, but this case is nowhere near a strong as the alto and tenor cases. My horn did take one spill (onto a sidewalk) in the case when the strap hardware broke, but the horn was fine.
There are two major drawbacks to this case vs. the altos and tenors. First, there are "sharp" corners along the edges of the case that are prone to chipping. Second, because of the size and shape of the case, the sides can flex, and as Randall has pointed out, this can lead to damage to the horn. Fortunately, I have not had any problems. I have only had the horn checked (gate checked) on a flight once and it was on the jetway when I got off the plane. Otherwise, it has gone in the cabin with me. I did recently get an anvil for it though for future flights.
One big advantage to this case is the way the strap is mounted on it. It balances very comfortably on your back. They do now make a real "flight case" (based on a new bass case they make), that is designed to be checkable, but it is quite expensive, and it still had unprotected corners. I actually talked to them about that, so maybe now they are including aluminum edges, I'm not sure though....
