I just got my copy of the 3 baritone sax band plays Mulligan CD and I love it.

Does anyone know of a listing of who-solos-when on each number? Bari isn't my main horn and I'm not familiar with the sounds/solo stylings of Cuber, Brig, and Smulyan so I don't know who is blowing when...and I'd really like to!

Oh, I forgot, my copy of the CD was in a car that was stolen from me... no kidding..

Look on the surface of the CD. It is listed there.

Thanks Mojo!

When I looked at the back of the CD Jacket, only #2 had the listing of solos...never thought the CD listing would be different.

Hey Manofsteel,

Have you gotten your Martin bari & the mouthpiece yet?

Hey George,

I got the mpc but not the Martin yet. It's on it's way as I type...

Are you still interested in the Berg HR? I've been playing it a little on the Yamaha, but I think I like the RIA better overall. The Berg is mighty impressive in the lower reg though! I want to try it on the Martin before I make any final decisions of course.

Wow thanks Mojo! I never noticed that before.

Man, Gary Smulyan on track 11... boy that makes my heart thump. What a sound!!! Projection and depth out the wazoo. Raw freakin' saxophone power. I wonder what his setup is? Looks like a 12M, ?mpc./reed?

Cuber on track 3, too. Shaaamokin'

Smulyan plays an old Conn 12M with a metal Link. Not sure if it is a vintage Link, not sure of the facing, pretty sure it is a LaVoz reed.

Is there a major difference between the 12 M and the 11 M? Thanks

11M is the low-A version...most believe it to be an inferior horn to the 12M.

Hey, saw an old Selmer ad someplace, with a Brazilian band's sax section... dig it... a tenor lead, and four baris! I think it was either a Super Balanced Action ad, or an early Mk VI ad.

Nothing to do with this thread... but thought I would just toss this in.
