Or find a good machine shop. It's expensive, but will undoubtedly do the trick.

A machine shop should be the last resort. I can't imagine any repair shop that doesn't have a supply of posts.

If I'm doing the repairs, yes. If someone else is doing the repairs, no. I am out of the "vintage parts" business. This stuff is getting too hard to find. We have a very substantial "boneyard" of vintage horns, but since I plan on staying in the business for a little while longer, I've got to reserve my parts stash for my customers.

I think you can buy generic posts from Allied Supply or Ferree Tool.
