Funny thing - it's not a Magna - (at least I don't see the markings for a Magna...)

Now - if the wife will let me - I'd bid on it - but, arrghh!! we've no cash!

It is very interesting how this horn sold so quickly. May the new owner really enjoy it. It still smells a little funny. This was definitely a don't touch horn.

I saw this horn late last night...and wrote to the guy. He said that he bougt it from a guy in Louisiana...and he's really a tenor player and did not take to playing bari so he was just going to sell it. I considered bidding on it but am cautious since I'm not that familair with saxophones.

Said to my wife I thought it would go quickly at that price.

Gary, same here. A little timid to jump at something uncertain. Hard for me to imagine owning a bari only a month or so before deciding you don't like bari. And such a horn ought to MAKE one like bari!

I had some email with the seller (post-sale). Very friendly, said he really was trying to get end his acquisition syndrome and was getting rid of everything except his tenor, on which he has settled as his only ax.

He also reiterated that he felt he didn't price it too low, based on its condition. This leads me to think it wasn't quite as nice as it may have looked in the pics, somehow...?

Any case I hope someone has a blast with it. Now I jes' gotta find me one!

Hey, Sarge at worldwidesax.com has a Magna on his Web site now...that's a lot of $$$ but I'll bet it'll knock the walls down.
