I have aquired a chu bari early 20s and it was painted black Im a tenor,alto,soprano player and not up on baris.When removing the paint I have noticed that the bell and engraving appear to have nice shine but below the engraving it looks like brushed finish it is differant! what was the finishes that came on these chus?I will post serial # later.

The engraving on the Chu Bari was always highly polished and the rest of the finish was the brushed or matte style finish if the horn was originally silver plated. The Lacquered horns also had the polished are for the engraving.
