Anybody know any hard facts about these Bari's.?? It can be viewed on the Selmer USA site. I know it must be near the bottom of the food chain. But I'm hoping it will reasonably OK as a back-up when I don't want to play my Super80 II.. I'm really wondering which Asian Brand names (I heard Prestini, Unison and CB) are the same horn as the Buescher BU6 Bari. Steve Goodson...Help!! Thanks guys,Cash

Don't get the new buescher. Local store had one and i played one, while the keys were smooth and it responded well, it had most crappiest weakest baritone sound you can imagine. And it bends easy the metals are really soft. Mr Goodson seems to really like unison so you should try it.

Cash,
I know this is probably old hat, but why not invest in one of the older horns? I had a Bundy special (Keilwerth ) that I got for a song and it was a fantastic back up. If you have to have the low A, I recommend a Couf. Paul C also recommends the Unison bari highly....but the price is probably more than you want to put into a back up...

..Well I already bought the thing, so I'm hoping it isn't too bad. It's been a long time since I broke any keys off a Horn (I learned to relax)..As far as the tone goes, I'm no beginner so I presume I will get a decent sound on it. I'm hoping Selmer USA did some homework before deciding to represent these Asian Horns..BTW the thing was ridiculously low-priced..too low to pass up.If I don't like it you guys will see it Ebay real soon..LOL
