Yeah, there is a Berkely Web site, try a search. The "old" ones are probably the original British ones which are thicker grade fiberglass, so more secure from crushing. I have a European-bought one for Tenor. It is very nice because it is so small sturdy and light, kind of like a rigid gig bag. No room for anything but a box of reeds and mouthpiece but very easy to carry. I doubt whether that would translate to the Bari though. Another downside is that the rounded outer contour doesn't allow for stacking.

The Berkeley web site is: http://www.berkeleycases.com/index.htm
They're not cheap, but they sure do look nice and they have a wide selection of colors now. Has anyone out there ever used one of their low Bb bari cases? I have a 50s era Conn with all of the bell keys on the right side. They say that they fit older baris... any experience out there?

Man, I just gotta say, I LOVE my Berkeley of London cases!!!!!! They're perfect for shock absorbsion (soft foam inside and a flexable shell to absorb the heavy shocks!). David Sanborn, Nelson Rangell, etc. won't use anything else...neither would I. :) ><>

Finally got a case. Got it direct from England, not a bad price but along wait. Nice case, very slim. Holds my Selmer SBA very secure but added a bit of extra padding under the stack. Very nice construction. Loaded it weighs/ feels about the same as my WJ case with my tenor in it.! Handles are a little too wide for my hands for comfortable carrying ,a little too thick. Have to work on that but over all very happy with it! I can carry it with ease with a shoulder strap. Highly recommend.

Super20 I got it through Ken Fornetran in Toronto, He ordered it direct from Berkeley. It took over a month to get . But well worth the wait. I attached the neck strap to one of the handles & keep my hand on the other one. I could walk across town with it now and not break a sweat.
I am heading back to Montreal/ McGill tomorrow , just finished a week at the IJAE conference here in TO. It was a amazing event, but I had to cut a week of classes. Though most of my Prof's were here anyways! Give Ken a call on Monday , he ships to the US and he is a great guy to deal with. One of if not the best repair techs in Canada!! His # is 1-416-516-6445.

super20dan, about a month ago, I was quoted a price of 215 pounds ($345) from Don Mackell for a case to fit a Series II. That included shipping and insurance from the UK to western KY (42001).
Hope this info helps...

Super.... the sale guy at WW&BW did not recommend the protec case to me when I tried tto buy it . I explained my financial situation to him but he thought it would not stand up over time. I had a tenor one and it did not last long. the feet punched through the case, the interior was too firm and put the sax out of wack. In general it was sh@t,, not worth the cheap price. Hinge was crap , hard to close because the halfs misaligned.
