If you could have any Bari, either new or vintage which one would it be?
Low A or No A?
Curious minds want to know...

A silver plated, Conn transitional Bari, front F key and a low Bb. Bugger the low A, it stuffs up how the horn plays, projects and sounds.
Martin Magna Low A, biggest bell of any Bari ever made.
Wait a minute, I have these two horns already, I must be in Bari la la land. I'm off to honk now.

I have a Keilwerth Black Low A. I can't imagine that a Conn Tran or 12M with rolled tone holes with high F in silver could be that much better than this horn!? It is gonna be fun finding out!

King Super 20 silversonic baritone sax.
solid silver neck and bell. the palm keys would be half an inch higher (away from from the body). Nice high action. it would come standard with goatskin pads with noyek resos with the gold foil. yeah!, thats the dream bari. or better yet two of them

super2083,
Do you own this horn?
Did King ever make a bari S-20 Silversonic w/t ss neck/bell?
If they did, did it come in Bb or low A config? Do you have a pic of one?

Bruce, there were King SS baris made with silver bells and necks AND pearled side keys- but they are extremely rare. The shop owner/repariman here in Japan has seen them.
I have yet to see one personally nor do i know of anyone with one.

Buffet Dynaction or SDA (even came with low-A, and that's the one to have I'd bet).
or if new, a low-A SX90 in silver plate but with a footpeg a-la Yani 9930 (and some rare Buffets).
