I wonder if Steve is related to game show producer Mark Goodson.

In Larry Teal's "Art of Saxophone" book, there is a very comprehensive altissimo chart, including which fingers are how many cents off. This is a really great feature especially considering how pitch control is vital in the altissimo register.

The most extensive chart of fingerings that really work well for me are the ones in the book:
Saxophone Altissimo: High Note Development for the Contemporary Player
by Robert Luckey, Ph.D.
More than 300 fingerings, separated into sections for soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxes.
There are up to 10 fingerings for each note, some working better for some saxes than others. There are also added markings for added keys to fine tune some of the fingerings.
Available from:
Woodwind & Brasswind, www.wwandbw.com 1-800-348-5003
Runyon Products, www.runyonproducts.com 1-800-624-1729
Jazz Books, www.jazzbooks.com
I have also used some of Goodson's fingerings... some work better for me than others, as with the Luckey book.
I was not as successful with many of the Teal fingerings for tenor.

I'm having trouble understanding Steve's numbering system for altissimo fingerings on his site. Can anyone enlighten me?

There is a guy in Memphis Stan Johnson who sells these card stock charts that can be used as book markers. They have great altissimo tips and fingerings. He also sells a card called Windjammer that offers all of the fake fingers or fingers pros like Bird used to faciliate speed. I found out about them several years ago through the saxophone Journal. They really have work for me! His address is 695 Dickinson St Memphis Tennessee and the cards sell for $2.50 plus 1.00 shipping. They are called altissimo guides and are available for all saxophones!
